WSET's Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner to intermediate level qualification for exploring wines, suitable for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts. This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines, or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality, and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

Venue

Vancouver Wine School is located on the sixth floor of Aberdeen Square, 4000 No.3 Rd, Richmond. There are more than enough parking lots in the surrounding area, making it a great location.

The West Vancouver branch campus on Bellevue Ave will also be opening in May. There are several other branch campuses in the pipeline, so stay tuned.

This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours* of study time:
16 hours of delivery time with a WSET course provider (classroom or online).
11 hours of personal study and revision.
A 1-hour examination.

A closed-book exam will be held at the end of the last day of the course. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
Exam Duration: 1 Hour
Passing Grade: 55%
Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin. Once you obtain the Level 2 Award in Wines qualification, you can apply to use the WSET Certified logo.
*Exam registration fee required to retake the exam.

Examination
